DomainKeys Identified Mail in Hosting
The DomainKeys Identified Mail functionality is pre-enabled for all domains that are hosted in a hosting account on our cloud servers, so you will not need to do anything yourself to turn it on. The only condition is that the given domain should be hosted in a website hosting account on our platform using our MX and NS records, so that the e-mail messages will go through our mail servers. The private key will be created on the server and the TXT record, which contains the public key, will be published to the global DNS system automatically, so you will not have to do anything manually on your end in order to enable this feature. The DKIM email authentication system will enable you to send credible e-mail messages, so if you are sending a newsletter or offers to customers, for instance, your emails will always reach their target viewers, while unauthorized third parties will not be able to spoof your email addresses.
DomainKeys Identified Mail in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our Linux semi-dedicated servers come with DKIM activated by default, so in case you opt for a semi-dedicated hosting package and you add a domain using our name servers through your Hepsia Control Panel, the records needed for the validation system will be set up automatically – a private cryptographic key on our mail servers for the electronic signature and a TXT resource record carrying the public key for the global Domain Name System. Since the DKIM protection is set up for a given domain name, all addresses created with it will carry a signature, so you won’t need to worry that the email messages that you send may not be delivered to their destination address or that someone may forge any of your email addresses and attempt to spam/scam people. This may be rather essential in case you rely on e-communication in your business, since your partners and/or customers will be able to distinguish legitimate email messages from forged ones.
